New Year's Eve - Kickin' it at home

I must be the world's worst blogger; I never get in here to write anything. I did get a laptop today so maybe I'll do better.

DH and I are staying at home tonight and not wishing that we were somewhere else either. Youngest DS is out with his latest girlfriend and they're planning to go to a friend's house and bring in the new year. I just asked him to stay off the roads and not to get too crazy. There's no telling what the oldest DS is doing tonight; probably working his part-time job in security.

Since I now have the laptop, I don't have any excuse not to work on my photos and finish lots of scrapbook pages. While DH watches tv in his recliner, I can sit here to his right (in my recliner) and blog or scrap to my heart's content. That's if I don't get too caught up finding funny stuff on YouTube or elsewhere online.

Heard from a high school friend earlier this week. She's now teaching computer classes to elementary age kids. She says her high school friends are always surprised to hear what she's doing now; I'm no exception. I would never have imagined her teaching kids. I'm glad she has the patience for it; my portion of that virtue is very limited.

Anyone stumbling across this blog, stay safe and don't give up on me. I'll get disciplined about blogging one day.

I just realized that every post I have made refers to my inferior blogging skills. Okay, I will do better; or at least not mention how bad I am in every post I make.

terrible blogger

Apparently I'm a terrible blogger since I never think to go in here and post anything. While I don't lead a terribly exciting or adventurous life, there are periods of humor and meaningful thoughts that I'd share if I could just think to do it. My focus seems to be off and I can't concentrate on anything long enough to actually get it done. It's different at work; I don't have a problem completing tasks there. Maybe I use up all my brain cells at work and have none left for my 'other' life.

I did join Classmates 'Gold' today so I could catch up with some of my high school buddies. Classmates had a special and it was only $19.95 a year to join. I figured that wasn't too bad and is well worth it if it gets me in touch with friends I haven't seen in a long time.

Lance and Payton came to visit with their dad this past weekend and we had so much fun having them at the house. I bought the boys some puzzles to put together; their attention span wasn't long enough to finish one but Nelson and I got so engrossed in them that we not only finished their puzzles, I went out and bought us some 'grown up' puzzles to work on. I didn't want to stop working on it last night but had to go to bed; I was exhausted but wanted to keep working on that puzzle.

Longest post I've written so far; maybe there's hope for me yet.

lazy or busy?

Have not been very good at blogging so far, have I? I will try to do better; to at least get some photos up of the grandkids and the yard. It's more fun to read other people's blogs than to post to my own :-)

1st blog

I'll be using this to post photos, news, etc. about our family, i.e. Nelson, Theresa and the kids and fur-babies. Just now figuring out the 'blogging' world so please have patience :-)
